SCOTLAND (Sept 2017)

Teacher training meeting.

Some teachers and studentes welcame the visitors at school with the different flags and playing the typical Scottish pipe. We had a welcome assambly. Then we had a training session wih Tom Lang, a maths specialist who explained the maths programmes and curriculum in Scotland.

Then tha teachers visited the school and observed some lessons

TRANSNATIONAL MEETINGS (Turkey and Romania).

These meetings will take place at the beginning and at the end of the project.

Turkey, October 2016. Partners will set a detailed programme of activities.

Romania, May 2018. Participants will evaluate the project.

September 4th-8th.

5th MOBILITY.

Teachers training meeting in Scotland (Sept 2017).
 
In the fifth mobility of the project, two teachers from each country visited Glasgow, in Scotland. The aim was learning Mathematical skills. The Scottish partners prepared lots of interesting activities, but we also had time for intercultural exchange. Here we present a summary of the week.

The Scottish coordinator, Gillian, presented a training on NUMBER TALK and we visited some classes to see the students using this method.

Then, we came into a primary 1 class to observe PATH LESSONS, a method to develop the knowledge of feeling in young children.

After this, we visited a Primary 5 lesson of Science.

Finally, we attendet to a practice lesson with a school teacher specialist in modal origami. He taught us hoy to create different figures using paper sheets.

2nd DAY.

We started the day in a Primary 1 class where the students were developing ascience classification lesson in the playground.

Then, we had the teachers coordination meeting.

Finally, Scottish children made a show with songs, poems and dances.

5th DAY.

Parents welcame the teachers and they took part in school shows that children have prepared. They were very nice with all the foreign teachers.

The day started with a visit to a Nursery school to see the programmes they use to teach small children.

After that, we all developed our language sessions in the different global classes. As we always do, we taught some basic vocabulary in our own languages and we gave them some information about our culture.

At the end of the day at school we observed a Primary 7 class about maths (problem solving, cards, computer games...).

4th DAY.

The Provost and Local Councillors attended to the show that children developed on Friday and they had some words with the participants in the mobility.

LOCAL AUTHORITIES INVOLVEMENT

The participants in the mobility spent most of the day at school atending to different maths sessions. The rest of the day we made a very interesting visit to Glasgow.
