ŞSzkola Podstawowa nr 153 im ks.prof.Jozefa Tischnera w Krakowie is  almost 35 years old and it is one of the best primary schools in the city. It is situated in the South-West of Krakow, Poland.
There are 352 students aged 7 to 12 years old and they are organised in 16 primary classes. In the upper-primary education level we have 3 sports classes. Besides the National Primary School Curiculum subjects (Maths, Polish, English as a foreign language, History, Science, Art, Music, Religious Studies, Physical Education, Technology, Information Technology) they also practise football (boys) or volleyball (girls) as their duty. Our staff are 38 teachers and 12 administation and operation employees. There is a school psychologist, a librarian and a nurse. The school has also a canteen where students have lunch, a Science laboratory, a day room where  students  can spend their time after the lessons while their parents are at work, a gym and a playground.
Our students achieve high grades at competitions  winning first places and awards in  Malopolskie district  at Maths, Polish and Science. Since six years we are at the top in many sports disciplines. Last year, following the National Graduation Exam of English, our school obtained the first rank among the schools in Malopolskie district.
During the school year the school provides a lot of attractions to its students and their families, such as a family festival, a fair, sports day and organise trips and camps.
There is also a partnership between our school and the cultural institutions, sports centres and Police and Fire Departments - we were awarded with the Certificate of  Safe School. The school belongs to the Family of Tischner Schools.
