I.C. Pontecagnano Anthony is a comprehensive school that has opened in the 2015-2016 school year and includes nursery schools, primary schools and secondary schools of first grade with pupils aged between 3 to 14 years. In recent years the various degrees of the institution were separated and so distinct as the 1st cycle of Faiano and I.C. St. Anthony.
I.C. Pontecagnanp St. Anthony is located in the municipality of Pontecagnano Faiano in an area between the  Picentini mountains and the Tirreno Sea. Pontecagnano is in the hinterland of the city of Salerno in the Campania region. The municipality was created in 1911. The population is quite heterogeneous. The working conditions in the area is focused on both agriculture and the industrial sector and also  handicraft manufacture. The school has pupils with a higher social position. The school has 56 classes with a total of 1.142 students (kindergarten, primary and secondary)  and 18 teachers for nursery school, 61 teachers for primary school  , 6 teachers  for pupils with special needs and 18 teachers for the first grade of secondary school. The school is spread into 10 buildings.
A part of our school, the old 1st Pontecagnano circle we worked in European projects with different themes. These projects have been remaining of some schools partner but also the addition of new schools and new countries.
All the projects have helped to reinforce the European dimension for the teachers  and  the students too. they have also allowed the knowledge of European languages and  people,  have  improved the digital skills, have enabled a real comparison of methods and strategies in our daily teaching but above all they have created friendly relations with each partner .
